Members of the Board of Commissioners are volunteers, and are not compensated for their time.
Members of the Capay Valley Fire Protection District are volunteers, and are not compensated for their time.
The Chief of Capay Valley Fire Protection District receives a stipend - the current rate is $12,000/year disbursed over 26 pay periods.
The District Secretary of the Capay Valley Fire Protection District receives a yearly stipend of $10,200 disbursed over 26 pay periods.
The Capay Valley Fire Department employs a part time employee for administrative and maintenance services at a yearly salary of $28,800 disbursed over 26 pay periods.
Capay Valley Fire Protection District occasionally sends apparatus and personnel to large incidents for extended periods of time through the California Fire and Rescue Mutual Aid System. Wages for these incidents are hourly, and billed in accordance with the baseline rate provided by California OES.
In compliance with state law, we provide reports to the State Controller's office annually. Board and Staff member compensation can be viewed on the State Controller's PublicPay website.
